Match.com - Contacted by imposters

I made the mistake of joining match.com and within minutes of posting my profile, was contacted by an imposter. Of course, I didn't realize it was an imposter at first. It took about an hour for me to figure it out based on the inconsistencies in stories and the broken English. It was then that I took the photos and did a Google Image Search having a recollection of a DR. Phil Episode I saw where I thought I remembered that picture. Sure enough, it led me to several love scam websites. I was pretty upset and thought what an odd coincidence that my first night I would encounter this monstrosity, and then I was approached by two additional users that had also encouraged me to provide a cell phone number or private email address to chat off the Match Website. Again, I performed a Google Image Search and again, those pictures led me right to several Love Scam Websites. Scared half to death, I immediately reported the users as imposters and took my profile and placed it in Hiding. I also sent Match an email requesting a refund since I was not able to use the site as intended while still feeling safe. They never responded. Still within one week, I finally found a contact number for them. Phone Number 800-326-5161 and called to request a refund. Of course, they held true to their policy of no refunds and after an hour long, painful phone conversation, I walked away with nothing more than an address for the Corporate Office. No phone number, no refund! To make matters worse, although they will not refund my money, they feel they have the right to censor my profile and prevent me from posting anything that indicates my experience warning women to beware. I regret joining match.com and would rather be alone the rest of my life than to have to endure another experience such as this one. I find it interesting that they put more effort into censorship of my profile than of those who are the perpetrators. I wrote Dr. Phil and hope that someone with Power will stop this company from their deceitful business practices. At this point, I can't tell you who I feel more violated from, the men who tried to scam me or the biggest scam of all Match.com. I would warn all women to be very careful and make sure that you do your homework when dealing with men on match. Even more than that, I would suggest not joining in the first place.
